Different jobs. Same brand. That's the hard part.
You're building awareness, giving people reasons to choose your products, and creating relationships that keep them coming back.
Your photography and video need to support all of it while keeping your brand unmistakably yours.
THE CHALLENGE
It starts with understanding what your brand needs to accomplish, then bringing a photographer's eye and a marketer's instincts to create work that serves the goal and feels unmistakably yours.
How We Can Work Together.
01 — Brand & Campaign Content
Campaign imagery with a purpose beyond looking good.
Athlete-led campaigns, lifestyle photography, and product-in-action imagery for sports, fitness, and active-lifestyle brands. Photography and supporting video built around your campaign goals, whether you're launching a product, building awareness, or giving people a reason to choose your brand.
02 — Ongoing Brand Partnerships
A relationship that gets better the longer it runs.
Photography and supporting video for brands with campaigns, launches, and marketing initiatives throughout the year. Over time, I get to know your brand, your goals, and what your team needs — shoot after shoot.
Monthly retainers and ongoing project partnerships available.
The Marketer Behind the Lens
I'm Frank, a Bay Area commercial photographer working with sports, fitness, and active-lifestyle brands.
I spent decades helping marketers reach their audiences through advertising, media partnerships, and branded-content campaigns at Google, Outside Magazine, Bicycling, and Men's Health.
That experience shapes the way I approach every shoot. I bring preparation and collaboration to the process, help people feel comfortable in front of the camera, and stay alert to the moments that weren't on the shot list.
When I'm not shooting, you'll often find me riding Mount Tam, Bolinas Ridge, or the Marin Headlands. The active lifestyle I photograph is one I've been part of for years.
Process
01 — Pre-Production
We start with your goals, creative brief, and how the work will be used. From there, I help shape the production plan or work within your team's existing one, making sure the creative and practical details support the objective.
02 — The Session
On set, I bring the preparation, direction, and energy to keep things moving. I work through the planned shots while staying alert to the unexpected moments that can make the work stronger.
03 — The Result
From editing and retouching to final delivery, I oversee the finishing process so your team receives polished photography and video ready for their intended use.
Freaks of Nature — Beyond the Beach
An independent concept project exploring product, lifestyle, and studio photography across three distinct environments.
Jake & JT Fitness — More Than a Workout
An ongoing photography partnership capturing the coaching, people, and community behind a growing fitness business. From founder portraits to training sessions and retreats, the imagery supports their website, social media, and marketing.
Good Work. Good Working Relationships.

Frequently Asked Questions
I can work from an established creative brief or help develop the concept and shot list with you. If your team already has a creative director or agency involved, I'm comfortable working within that direction and contributing ideas along the way. The level of creative involvement depends on what your project needs.
How much creative direction do you
provide?
1
Yes. Photography is my primary focus, and I can incorporate video depending on the needs and scope of the project. We'll discuss what makes sense for your goals during planning.
Do you offer both photography and video?
2
Absolutely. I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area and available for projects beyond the region. Travel expenses are estimated separately and included in the proposal so you know what to expect.
Do you travel for shoots?
3
How far in advance should we book?
4
At least two weeks before your intended shoot date. Larger or more involved productions may require additional planning time, so reaching out earlier is always helpful.
Every project is different. I build estimates around the scope of the shoot, creative and production requirements, deliverables, and how the images will be used. My proposals break out photography and production costs from image licensing so you can see what's included.
How is commercial photography priced?
5
Image licensing is based on how and where your brand plans to use the photography. We'll discuss your intended usage during planning, and your proposal will outline the licensing terms so you know exactly what's covered.
What usage and licensing rights are included?
6
Turnaround depends on the scope of the project and the amount of editing and retouching involved. We'll agree on a delivery timeline before the shoot so your team can plan accordingly. Expedited delivery is also available for projects with tighter deadlines.
When can we expect our final images?
